I am Paweł Zając, an independent game developer operating under the alias Artbarian Games. I am not a registered company, just a solo developer creating games. For the purposes of the GDPR, I, Paweł Zając (Artbarian Games), am the Data Controller of your personal data.
If you have any questions regarding this privacy policy, you can contact me at:
Email: artbariangames@gmail.com
I do not sell or trade your personal data to third parties for any reason.
When you play my games, certain personal data is collected to ensure proper functionality, fair gameplay, and security. This data includes:
If you want your data deleted from my database, contact me at artbariangames@gmail.com with your Steam ID. I will process the deletion request within 30 days of verification, or sooner where possible.
Automatic Server Logging (Generated for All External Requests)
When my games connects to my external hosting provider (Hostinger) for any purpose, such as fetching news, configuration files, non-personal telemetry, game data updates, or any other online resource - Hostinger automatically generates standard server logs. These logs include your IP address, user-agent information, timestamps, and the specific endpoint accessed. This logging occurs for every connection made to the server.
These logs are created by Hostinger as part of basic server operation. While I do not actively use these logs for analytics, profiling, or tracking, I can access them if necessary for security, debugging, preventing abuse, or maintaining the functionality of the service. I do not combine these logs with other data to identify individual users unless required for security or legal reasons.
This server logging occurs even if you never access multiplayer, even if you decline privacy policy consent, and even when only non-personal telemetry or routine game data is being transmitted, because it is a standard technical function of web hosting infrastructure.
The legal basis for this logging is Legitimate Interest in ensuring security, preventing abuse, and maintaining the proper operation of the service. These logs are generated and retained by Hostinger as part of their standard hosting infrastructure, and retention periods are determined by Hostinger, not me. These logs are not used to identify users unless required for security or legal reasons.
Your personal data is processed based on the following legal grounds:
I store data directly on Hostinger, using servers located in The Netherlands. Hostinger acts as a data processor on my behalf under a formal Data Processing Agreement (DPA), and is fully GDPR-compliant. This includes the use of Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. Data stored includes match results, timestamps, and Steam IDs used for moderation and multiplayer functionality. Hostinger's Data Processing Addendum
Some personal data is also transmitted to third-party services that power multiplayer features and platform integration:
Third-Party Services Disclaimer: While my games integrate with these services, I do not control their internal privacy practices or how they store or secure your data. For full details, please refer to their respective privacy policies:
To ensure fair gameplay, security, and fraud prevention, my games store logs that may include:
Logs are stored securely and automatically deleted after 2 years, unless required for security investigations. If you want your logs deleted sooner, contact me with your Steam ID, and I’ll remove them within 30 days of verification.
Steam IDs and in-game stats are retained for as long as necessary for gameplay functionality and security. If you request data deletion, it will be removed within 30 days of verification.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, I will post an announcement on the official Artbarian Games website or Steam community page within 72 hours, as I do not collect user email addresses, and I am unable to inform each individual player separately.
Multiplayer features in my games are strictly intended for users aged 16 and above. Access to these features requires users to enter their date of birth (DOB) upon first use. DOB is not stored after the verification - it is checked once and not logged or retained in any form
If you are under 16, you are prohibited from accessing multiplayer services. I do not verify parental consent and cannot accommodate users below this age threshold. Should I become aware that a user under 16 has accessed multiplayer features, I will take immediate steps to delete any associated personal data.
I make reasonable efforts to prevent underage users (under 16) from accessing multiplayer features. My games include a built-in age verification system where users must enter their date of birth (DOB) before accessing multiplayer. If the entered DOB indicates the user is under 16, multiplayer access is automatically blocked by the game itself, and no data related to multiplayer is collected. Clear warnings are displayed informing users that multiplayer features are restricted to those aged 16 and above. I do not verify age beyond the DOB prompt, as I do not collect or store identity documents or any personally identifiable age verification data. If I discover that a user has provided false information and is under 16, I will promptly delete any associated data. Users who misrepresent their age are in violation of the terms of use.
While my games may feature stylized or cartoony visuals, they are not marketed toward or designed for children under 13. If I discover that such data has been collected, I will promptly delete it in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). I do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal data from children under 13.
Parents or legal guardians who believe their child has provided personal information without their consent may contact me at artbariangames@gmail.com to request data removal.
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
When you start multiplayer mode in any of my games for the first time, you'll see a consent popup explaining the Privacy Policy. You can either accept it or exit multiplayer mode. If you don’t accept, no personal data will be collected, other than automatic logging done by hosting provider, as stated in point 2. If the Privacy Policy is updated, you’ll be prompted to review and accept the changes the next time you launch multiplayer mode. No new personal data will be collected by me until you’ve accepted the updated terms, but that does not apply to various non-personal data and logs stored by the hosting provider.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting me. If you withdraw consent, your stored data will be deleted, but this may affect your ability to use multiplayer features.
